Well jobs don't provide a passive income - they normally provide a wage based on an hourly rate for you being there e.g. £6 per hour x 40 hours = £240 per week this limits the amount of income you can receive, after Tax, Insurance Travelling Costs etc a wage from a job just about provides a very basic lifestyle hence the term - a basic !
The trouble with this type of income, as with self employed trades people and professionals (plumber, painter, taxi driver, accountant, solicitor etc etc) is that if for any reason you stop doing what you do (redundancy - injury - retirement etc) your income stops too !
To survive many people in jobs, self employment, the professions etc have to work overtime and weekends and take less holidays - this means they are working and sleeping most of their time so can not enjoy the benefits a passive income brings - PMPT
